Biomedical image processing has been blooming in both research and clinical application. In this talk, the speaker presented their works on applying several biomedical image processing techniques such as segmentation and registration on improving CT image-guidance of radio frequency ablation of liver cancer treatment. Secondly, he introduced an use of deep learning on a clinical application to support cytogeneticist in karyotyping and detecting abnormalities in the chromosome, which could be used in diagnosis of several genetic disorders/diseases such as Down’s Syndrome, Turner’s Syndrome, Edward’s syndrome and leukemia (blood cancer).
