Vingroup Big Data Institute (VinBigdata) was established by Vingroup in August 2018, aiming to conduct high-impact research on important areas of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The institute promotes fundamental research as well as investigating novel and highly applicable technologies.
About the position:
VinBigdata is seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of Research Scientist who conducts research and development in the areas of Machine Learning (ML) with particular focus on Deep Learning (DL), Computer Vision (CV), Natural Language/Speech Understanding (NLP), and Medical Image Analysis. You will work on some of the most challenging technical problems to create new AI-based solutions. After building prototypes that demonstrate the promise of your work, you will collaborate with the software engineering team to integrate your work into products as well as to publish the work into top-tier journals/conferences.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build CV/ML/DL/NLP algorithms for solving real-time problems
- Construct and normalize large-scale datasets
- Keep up with the latest CV/ML/DL/NLP research
- Produce top-tier scientific publications and transfer CV/ML/DL/NLP models into products
Requirement:
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Applied Math or related fields
- 5+ years of experience with solving CV, ML, NLP and medical imaging problems
- Great publication track record on top CV/ML/DL journals/conferences and/or significant involvement in product development
- Excellent prototyping skills in Python; familiarity with common deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.)
