Biomedical image processing has been blooming in both research and clinical application. In this talk I will present our works on applying several biomedical image processing techniques such as segmentation and registration on improving CT image-guidance of radio frequency ablation of liver cancer treatment. Secondly, I will introduce an use of deep learning on a clinical application to support cytogeneticist in karyotyping and detecting abnormalities in the chromosome, which can be used in diagnosis of several genetic disorders/diseases such as Down’s Syndrome, Turner’s Syndrome, Edward’s syndrome and leukemia (blood cancer).
